An Eco Friendly Life Event

Stationery, what is there to discuss about stationery?” said Alanah. It’s all the same isn’t it? I mean how many different shades of the pink does it come in? Alanah don’t be so shallow, besides Giftsin24 only offers a minimum variety of notes you can order in pink. I know for sure Estate and London Notes come in memorable pink, blue, or ivory rich triple thick paper and “double lined” envelopes. They make memorable, bold statements.

Remember we said we were going to be more environmentally conscious? You know with the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and over half of the world’s species of plants, animals, and microorganisms being threatened by the unrestrained destruction of the world’s rain forests you’d think we’ d have more to worry about than our choice of stationery?, mentions Alanah. “Alanah,” we do but don’t you think we need to take a stand where we can? If every little bit counts we might as well start with the paper we use. We can use recyclable paper, stationery made from recyclable paper and paper substitutes like cotton, bamboo, and sugar cane. The same type of alternatives Neenah Papers offers in FSC certified paper for Giftsin24′s stationery. It’s supposed to promote more responsible management of forests for clean air and a cleaner tomorrow. “We sound so environmentally conscious, we’re not” says Alanah.

We should be with all of the choices that are available to safe guard, a cleaner, brighter future.” “You make environmentally conscious stationery sound like the end to all,” whispers Alanah.” It’s not but it’s a choice.” Gifstin24 offers a variety of choices in eco friendly stationery. They arrive in earth toned hues of green, brown, and white: Green Tea, Sandstone, and Moonrock courtesy of Neenah Papers in the form of notes, notepads, memos, cards, memos, gift enclosures, note cards and more. The paper is 100% recyclable, green seal certified and carbon neutral plus. “Does our choice mean much in the situation,” asks Alanah. “Yes, your choice always amounts to something.” Giftsin24 offers a choice for those who want to make a cleaner world and earth a top priority for today and tomorrow.” Realize as well as we do, the problem didn’t happen overnight. Giftsin24 believes that one person’s choice of eco friendly stationery can affect others and those people acting collectively can and will make a difference.

Unrestrained consumption of wood and uncontrolled infection of our air, water, and ozone by pollution and chemicals is what has got us into trouble in the first place. It will take more than changing your brand of stationery to get us out. It will mean a change in habit, attitude, and perspective that Gifts in24′s stationery will reinforce. Through our message, our stationery’s way of keeping you connected with significant relationships in your life will be as rewarding as you make them and a reminder that we’re all connected. Think of yourself as a tree and our eco friendly stationary as the connecting point to your branches, those relationships you value the most. Whether it’s a message of appreciation, thank you, concern, warmth, or something deeply personal Giftsin24 wants to deliver them in style with your agenda prioritized. “I guess this means we’ve officially gone green.” Yes, Alanah, just like everyone else.” Can we meet all of these devout environmentalists through Gifts24.com? “Alanah!!!”

Thank You Cards

 8th April 2010, 08:55 am

After reading some of the other blogs about how and when to send a written thank you, I thought we might all reflect on the following quote from A.J. Cronin,
the Scottish novelist and writer of non-fiction:

Gratitude is something of which none of us can give too much. For on the smiles, the thanks we give, our little gestures of appreciation, our neighbors build up their philosophy of life.

Too often, we see the written thank you as an obligation. We think that others expect us to say thank you, and we need to respond to these expectations. Since it seems to be more and more difficult to see our friends, family, and neighbors in person, we must look at other choices. I keep my personalized thank you cards in their box at my desk for exactly this reason. When I want to convey a thank you to a friend, colleague, or family member, I enjoy the act of putting pen to paper and composing the written thank you.

For me, putting the stamp on the envelope and “posting” the letter is so satisfying. For the recipient, as Mr. Cronin says, it might become a small memory and a part of their life.
