jpxpert doesn’t mean that they’re out of time, or off of the beat; an off beat riff/rhythm means that it occurs between beats…i.e. were you to subdivide 4/4(a simple time signature), you’d get 1 ee AND uh 2 ee, or subdividing 6/8(a compound time signature) would get split like 1 uh LA uh LEE uh 2 uh etc… so the guitar’s riffs fall on those subdivisions. In other words, it was a compliment because it’s tricky to play.
In my opinion, this is one of their most underrated songs, it’s also one of their musically impressive ones. The guitar in the background that’s playing on the off-beat. Very impressive, this is one of my favorites.

that is not on the off beat…? its every 2 beats and than its 8th notes… so i guess that part is off beat but ys that matter??
